THANKS.
The staff and children of the Ruatoki Mission House wish to thank many friends for gifts during the past year, especially harvest festival offerings from Whakatane, Thornton, Matata and Otakiri, through the Rev. S. F. N. Waymouth.
Christmas parcels from St. John's and St. Andrew's Sunday Schools, Napier, and elsewhere, not only provided gifts for tfie fourteen girls living m the Mission House, but enabled us to have a Christmas tree m the mission garden for our 165 Maori children from the Ruatoki Sunday Schools. In many cases this was their first Christmas • tree, and a happy day for all. We are grateful for parcels of old linen, bandages,
medicine, bottles, etc., for our dispensary, and especially for the support of a hospital bed, by the Otakiri Mothers' Union. Several times patients needing observation and treatment have come to the Mission House for a few days, and this has met a great need. We thank God for many blessing during the past year, and look forward hopefully to the return of the Mission children and the reopening of Sunday schools and classes. E. S. NEWMAN.
