DIOCESAN AND GENERAL.
During Synod came the distressing news of the destruction of the Manutuke Mission House by fire. Happily most of the contents were saved, and the house is being rebuilt. Miss Price was absent at the time. Canon Wilfrid G. Williams will be coming to this Diocese early m March to take up his position to help the Bishop of Aotaroa. This should add much to the strength of the Maori work m Waiapu. On November Bth the Bishop of Aotearoa ordained Hemana Pokiha to the Diaconate at Te Puke. The Rev. A. M. Niblock has been appointed Vicar of the Parish of Porangahau. The Bishop will hold an Ordination m the Hastings Parish Church on December 20th, and admit the Rev! Kenneth Liggett td the Priesthood.
