WAIPUKURAU.
The balance-sheet at the Annual Meeting last month showed that a debit balance of £43 had been turned into a credit balance of £19, the first for some years. There was a gratifying increase m the Sunday
collections, and an increase m congregations and communicants. A sum of £87 had been sent to foreign missions. The following officers were elected:—Wardens, Messrs. H. P. Hole and W. G. Bryce; Vestry, Mesdames J. Hill, R. R. Keene and I. W. N. Mackie, and Messrs. L. S. F. Ball, H. A. De Lacey, C. M. Grainey, D. W. Neild, L. Skerman, J. Wharmbly, and W. H. L. Williams; Hon. Auditor, Mr. E. Broad. There was a full hall for the visit of the Bishop-in-Jerusalem, who gave a most instructive address on the state of affairs m his diocese — a very difficult one. The Vicars of Otane, Waipawa, Porangahau, Takapau, and Ormondville brought good contingents. The annual Flower Show takes place m the Waipukurau Theatre on Tuesday, September 15th.
