DIOCESAN NOTES.
The Diocesan Synod will be summoned for Thursday, October 15th* Notices of motion received by ' the Diocesan Secretary up to September 10th will be included m the first day's Order Paper. Among other business it will be necessary to elect three clergy and four laymen to represent this Diocese m General Synod next year. The Rev. J. J. Anderson was inducted to the Parochial District of Puketapu on August 16th by Canon Hodge. The Rev. R. Hodgson has been appointed Archdeacon of Tauranga.
