G.F.S. EVENING.
FIVE HUNDRED TOURNAMENT.
Combining pleasure with philanthropy, a very successful progressive "500" evening was held m the Kindergarten room, St. Matthew's Hall, Hast-
ings, m aid of the Girls' Friendly Society's Sick Fund. About 50 guests were present. The hall was brightened with Iceland poppies and statice. Cards were greatly enjoyed and at the conclusion of the play prizes were
presented to the winners. First prizewent to Miss Timms and Miss Henderson took second. The consolation) was won by Miss Ballard. A buffet supper set m the G.F-S---room was greatly appreciated. Golden Iceland poppies decorated! the table.
