SYNOD ARRANGEMENTS

On Wednesday, Oct. 30th, a Quiet Day for members of Synod will be conducted by the Rev. W. Edward Lush, M. A., Vicar of S. Chad's, Auckland, The Special Session for the election pf a new -.Bishop (has been summoned by the Yen. Archdeacon Williams, Lit.D., Commissary for His Grace, the Archbishop, for Thursday, Oct. 10th. After its constitution m the Cathedral at 7.15 a.m., followed by a Celebration of the Holy Communion, it will adjourn until 10 a.m. The ordinary session of Synod will be constituted by the Bishop m the Cathedral at 10.30 a.m. on Friday. Oct. 11th. It will be followed by the Celebration of the Holy Communion, when the Rev. A. F, Hall. M.A., Vicar of Tauranga, will be the preacher. Synod will reassemble m the Synod Hall at 2.30 for the President's address, and usual business. After the evening session, it will adjourn until the following Monday afternoon. On Synod Sunday, the preacher at the Choral Eucharist will be the Yen. Archdeacon Chatterton, 8.D., Vicar of Rotorua ; and the preacher m the evening, the Very Rev. the Bishop of Aotearoa. On Monday, Oct. 14th, there will be a conference of the clergy at 10 a.m. ; and on Tuesday morning a conference of the laity. On Wednesday morning there will be a conference of Maori standing committees. The week-day services at the Cathedral during Synod will be as follows: 7.15 a.m.j The Holy Communion; 9.30 a.m., Matins; 7.45 p.m., Evensong; except on the Saturday).
