O Lord Who hast promised to be with Thy people always even to the end of the world; look with favour, we pray Thee upon thi3 Diocese, and guide the Synod of our clergy and people m the choice of a chief Pastor for this portion of Thy flock; that one may be chosen who will be a true Shepherd, ever ready to spread abroad Thy Gospel, to hold up the weak, to bind up the broken, to seek the lost ; and who will give to Thy family of both races their portion m due season. Hear us, O Lord Jesus, who livest and reignest with the Father a nd the Holy Ghost, now and for ever. Amen.
