(From the "Waikato Diocesan Magazine.") The seolarships of £30 a year for the children of clergy have been increased to £50 by a friend of the diocese, who wishes to remain nameless. Canon Kempthorne, Vicar of Morrinsville, has been appointed Vicar of Te Kuiti.

St. Ansehn's Theological School has been opened at Bishopscourt, where its five students will reside for the present. Its' purpose is to enable young men who have a .vocation for the ministry to matriculate with. a view to taking a university degree. This will enable them to obtain a scholarship at St. John's College, Auckland, which is conditional on matriculation, and which will enable them to complete their course. The Vicar of T© Awamutu has introduced Children's Church on the firstSunday m the month, when the service is conducted entirely by children, the sermon only being given by an adult.
