Almighty God, King of Kings and Lord of Nations, look down, we beseech Thee, m merr.y upon the people of China, now torn and distracted by civil istrife. Pour out upon them the Spirit of Righteousness and Peace. Preserve the Native Church and all its members m the way of truth and love ; and vouchsafe to all Missionaries the assurance of Thy Presence and a ready desire to do Thy will Defend them m this day of trouble, and protect them
m body and soul, and hasten the time when the Chinese nation shall be brought to a knowledge of Thee through Jesus Christ oul- Lord. A men
