The Revd. B. R. White, the Organising Secretary of the Church Schools Board, is meeting with good success m his appeal for building a large central Primary Day School. A splendid work is done m meeting immigrants by the members of the Church of England Immigration Department/The work is under the able control of Mr. A. L. Hayloek. The Rev. F. G. Finch, Examining Chaplain to the Bishop is regarded as one of the "scholars" of the Diocese. He is returning to England to resume his old post as Vice-Principal of Burgh Missionary College m Lincolnshire. The Rev. O. S. Gibson, vicar of Raetihi, is the new vicar of Patea, m place of the Rev. H. B. Goertz, who goes to Eastbourne. The Rev. J. H. Datson, curate of Masterton, who was until recently a Congregational minister, has been appointed to Raetihi. CHRISTCHTJRCH. At the Advent Ordination the Revs. H. F. Ault and R. Newcombe will be advanced to the priesthood and Mr. J. Wilson, M.A. of College House will be made a deacon. The Chapel of Christ 's College will be used for the services and Bishop's Hostel and Cathedral Grammar School will be available for sleeping quarters, etc. The school will open,, on December. 29. Any who wish to join should lose no time m communicating with the Secretary, Miss R. Richards, 44 Wairarapa Terrace, Fendalton.The lecturers are Miss H. Park and the Rev. H. Monaghan, and the devotional side will be under the direction of the Rev. H. Purchas. The cost for the whole period of the school is only 25/-. The annual camp of the Boys' Bible Class Union will be held at Timaru, and with such an enthusiast as the Rev. E. Osmers to make preparations it should be even better than m former years. DUNEDIN. .
