The annual meeting was not very well attended, just over 40 being present, but there was a : real spirit , of enthusiasm. The reports showed a fairly healthy state of .affairs, congregations and communicants . having greatly increased. The Sunday School has a full staff with 90 scholars on the roll. The finances are m a much healthier state, the only debt being the balance of £175 on two old Diocesan loans. A big flower show and sale of. work is t,o be held m September to try and get, rid of this debt. Messrs W. Gr. Rryce and. J. H. Kibblewhite were, re-elected the churchwardens. There seemed.. to be much keenness to get on the vestry and a larger number were nominated. After. two ballots the,, following were elected .:— Messrs Ellison, Hole, Piki, Leigh, Duckworth, Saunders, Robinson, Chatwin, Winlove and Steere. Mr J. JI. Kibblewhite was elected Synodsman, The .building of a new church m brick or stone more worthy of God's Honor was discussed; it is reckoned this will cost nearly £7000. The new vestry Avas instructed to make inquiries and to launch the scheme for raising the amount. There is an amount .of £16 m hand;
