St. Matthew's, Hastings.
Vicar: Rev. R. T. Hall. Assistant Curate: Rev. 0. Gibson. The Bishop visited the parish on January 30th, when the Rev. 0. Gibson was ordained priest. The Very Rev. Dean Mayne preached a powerful sermon, and altogether the service was a beautiful and inspiring one. At . evensong the Bishop was the preacher . and gave a very fine, interesting address on Unity. The Sunday school picnic was held at Beatson's Park on February sth. A good number of children were pre- . sent and a very enjoyable day was . spent. Sunday school and Bible classes are once more m full swing. On Wednesday evenings, during Lent, the .Rev. F. A. Bennett is Very
kindly giving, a course of addresses. On Ash Wednesday he spoke ,o ( n the need for penitence,
