Vicar: Rev. E. D. Rice, M.A. Acting Vicar: Rev. John Hobbs. The annual 'meeting of parishioners was held m ,the schoolroom on Wednesday, the 21st. A large number of men and women were present, and much important business transacted. It was unanimously decided to support
a proposal to place a pipe organ m the church as a war memorial to those who Had fallen, and a thank offering for those who have been spared. The Sunday school scholars /are busy practising for an entertainment winch they propose to give shortly. The Mothers ' Union has . recommenced' its '/meetings^ and "-last ■ .Wednesday we had a very helpful addressV from Mrs Murdoch.' The Vestry have asked the Vicar to take a month's holiday on his retutn .to New Zealand. The Rev. John Hobbs has kindly consented to continue his' services until the Vicar, re* •turns. Mr Hobbs is givirig a series of short instructions on the Litany at the Thursdaly evening services, 'which should be most, helpful.
