St. Andrew's, Napier.

Vicar: F. B. Redgrave, B.A,

We have started a monthly service at Tangoio, and judging by the attendance at the first one it will meet a long-felt want. Maori services are regularly held there, but there has been no service m English since the settlement was begun some 15 years ago. The returned soldiers' settlement of Kaiwaka is near to Tangoio, the nearest of the 24 returned men being two miles from the schoolhouse and the furthest about 10 miles. We were glad to see a good muster of them at the opening service.

We are contemplating having a boys' choir at St. Andrew's. Some fifteen boys are attending the practices and are making good progress with the canticles.

In order to raise funds so as to purchase necessary apparatus for our three Sunday Schools we are having a jumble sale and sale of work on September 18th.
