A Suggested Form of Intercession.
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, .Lord have mercy. Our Father. Let Thy merciful ears 0 Lord, etc. (Trinity x). Pray for true repentance ; for the victory of right over wrong ; of truth over falsehood ; of the light of \ the Gospel over the darkness of the world : for the extension of God's Kingdom and its unity. For Missionaries, especially those m enemy countries, for their converts and catechumens; for Peace (Trinity v). For the King, the Government and all who are m positions of responsibility ; for our Nation that it may be governed righteously and ever strive for truth and peace and the true good of mankind. For our Allies. For the Government of New Zealand that it may deal courageously and rightly with the moral scourges of drunkenness, and impurity, and the public dangers of conspiracy, sedition and disloyalty. For the Ghurch that she may not lose any opportunity for strengthening the faithful, ministeringto the weak, the sick, the suffering, the poor, the mourners, and proclaiming to all the Gospel of Christ. For Generals and Officers. For our Chaplains m Camps, at the Front, at Sea that they may have -wisdom and grace for their ministrations (especially for those who have gone from this Diocese). For our Sailors and Soldiers m peril of the Sea and of the Enemy. For our Soldiers m various theatres of War ; : especially for the wounded and the sick, fdr those who attend /• them— Doctors, Nurses, and Stretcher Bearers,
For the faithful departed, especially those who have fallen m the War. For the 0.E.M.5., Church Army, and other organisations working m the Camps and on the battle field. For Ohurchw^nien's Societies ; especially M.U., GKF.S. and St. Mary's Honi€>. . For the Bishops and Clergy. For the success of Mr B. Simpson's tour m this Diocese. For the newly Baptized, Confirmees, and Candidates for Ordination. For Schools; especially those m this Diocese m which the Catholic faith is taught. Collect— Almighty God the Fountain of all wisdom (at end of Communion , Service).
