Te Karaka.

Vicar : Rev. Watson. Since' the second' Sunday in April the Vicar has been in charge of the whole district, and as there seems to be very little chance of filling Mr Robinson's place for some months 1 to come, a good deal of alteration has been made in the programme of services for each month. The following is a list of the services which will be held in the parish on each Sunday in the month until an assistant priest comes to help in the work of the district. First Sunday, Te Karaka, 9.30 a.m. ; Otoko, 2.30 p.m. ; Mutaw>ai 7 p.m. Second- Sunday, Te Karaka, 7.30 a." m. ; Kanakanaia, 11 a.m. ; Waihuka, 3 p.m. ; Te Karaka, 7 p.m. Third Sund'ay, Te Karaka, 7.30 a.m. ; Whatatutu, 11 a.m. ; Paha, 3 p.m. ; Te Karaka, 7 p.m. Fourth Sunday, Ralcauroa, 10 a.m. ; Whakarau, 2.30 p.m. ; Motu, 7.30 p.m. ; Te Karaka, 7 p.m. Fifth Sunday, Puha, 11 ai.mi. ; Kanakanaia, 3v30 p.m.i; Te Karaka, 7 p.m. Ira this way the Vicar hopes to ikeep up at least a monthly service at each centre which is really far too little and of course the visiting must suffer a great deal.

We a/re glad to know thcut the Sunday School at Otoko is to keep going-, and wish that the fine Sumd>ay School which Mr Robinsonl had worked up at Matawai had thei same good fortune. As the financial year of the parish ends on June 30th, the Churchwardens will be pleased to receive all subscriptions that are due before that date. Mr J. Hinton, " Marua," Kanakanaia, has very generously presented a gig to the parish for the use of the Vicar. It 1 will be of great help to the Vdcar, and save a good deal of riding, so Mr Hinton deserves the thanks of the Vicar, Churchwardens, and Yestry, for his gift.
