Tolaga Bay.
Rev. T. Meyer. The winter weather has been unfavourable for some of the country work, but m spite of that good congregations turned up on all occasions except once when floods made travelling quite impossible. In Tolaga itself people go to Church wet or dry, and on dark nights one may see lanterns, coming from every direction. The services are always very hearty. The new Church is now very complete, the new pulpit and the handsome and comfortable seats have made the interior look like a perfect Church. The lighting, too, is to be improved before lorig though it is not •at all bad even now. At a Vestry meeting a few weeks back, plans for the erection of a lych gate were discussed and one was chosen. The work will be put m hand at once. Fences and gates are also to be put m order and some trees or shrubs will be planted. This should add greatly to the outside appearance of the Church.
Our Bishop's letter and circular m the " Gazette " have not been neglected, arid we are likely to be helpful concerning the Women's Social Work. The ladies seem quite anxious to gfte both time and labour. A> meeting was called for Wednesday, June 17th, to elect a comimittee to interest others and raise funds in' the district, also to elect a representative on the Central Commiittee.
