Vicar: Rev. H. GolMer. A very interesting address on the objects and aims of the Bible m State Schools' League was given by Miss Pughe at a meeting of ladies held m the Vicarage during August. Several ladies volunteered to canvass the district, and Mrs. Sydney Johnstone and Miss Ingles kindly undertook the duties of joint secretaries. A large number of cards have been signed as a result of the energetic work being done by Mrs. Sydney Johnstone and her co-workers. A Young People's Bible Class has been commenced by the Vicar, and will meet every second Tuesday m the vestry. Owing to the Diocesan Synod being held during the first week m October, the Vicar will be absent from the District. BAPTISMS. Jack Alexander Edgecombe. Margaret Isabel Edgecombe.
