Robertshawe, we learn that he has been already greatly benefit ted by the change and rest, and hopes" to return m February next fitter than ever. He has been staying for some time at !Leamins?ton, m Warwickshire, and at last advices was moving into Yorkshire. - Mr. J. R. Russall. the late Choirmaster at S. John's, has just arrived m .Enfflsnd. after a splendid voyage. The new Organ : st and Choirmaster, Mr. J. Frin?le, entered on his duties on the 4th August.
The annual meeting of parishioners was he*ci on Wednesday, July iJ^tth, and thotigh the night was teeming with ram, thaie was a lair attendance. The financial reporc was an excellent one. Though there ,was a lailing off m offertories, the amount received lrom seat renis and annual subscriptions had largely increased. The Christmas Day oitertory was a special one towarus the New Stone uhurcn. Fund, and amounted to £27;. The following omce-bearers , were elected for the ensuing year : . Vicar's Warden, Mr. F. J . Knight ; People's Warden, Mr. F. G-. Ma^nasson ; Vestry, Messrs A. Webber, F. A. But-ier-Harrison, H. Tilsiey, S. Tansley, F. Fiecken, W. Dobson, S. 111. Wright, and R. Sbundy. The .Vicar's suggestion to set aside the first Sunday m each month for a united Communion for the workers m the various organisations of the Church has met with a very good response, about 70 being present on the first Sunday m July. The new Communion set m silver, and most of the other br<..ss ornaments asked for by the Vicar-m---charge, have been proamsed, and it is expected that all the articles will arrive and be dedicated for use on Christmas Day. Three aged parishioners have recently passed to their rest — Mrs. Wells (who for several months previous was a great sufferer;, Mrs. Warner, and Mis. Wratt. We ( extend our sympathy to their sorrow.njj relatives.
