S. John's Cathedral, Napier.

Mother's Union.— There |was-a very large -attendance at the July meeting, which commenced as usual with a service m the Cathedral, after wftich the members adjourned to the schoolroom, to listen to a most interesting and instructive address from Mrs. Herbert Williams. The mothers hope that before long Mrs. Williams will give them the pleasure of another visit. The next meeting will be on Wednesday, August 7th, and will be a "musical afternoon." G.F.S. — Two satisfactory meetings have been held during the -month, several new members being present. The > -Choir .—On Monday, July Bth, the Choir boys enter tainied the adult members of the Choir at a most enjoyable social. A large number was present. The Vicar, on behalf of the Choir, thanked Mr. Steed and the boys for their kindness. C.E.M.S.— The last two or three meetings have been much better attended than usual . Every ; alternate Friday evening the Vicar gives a short lecture on the • -Prayer-Book , followed by a discussion. , Nonmembers of the Society are invited to be present. Bible Classes.— Many parishioners seem to-be ignorant of 'the 1 fact that a Bible Class for young women 'is held by Miss Kate Williams every Sunday afternoon from -3 to 4, at the Vicarage, and one for yonng men by Mr. Pallot m the Cathedral Club rooms from 2.30 to 3.15... Dorcas Society. — This Society is very flourishing. Members attend well. G-ood work is done, and a successful year -is confidently looked forward to. " The Vicar -has received during the last month greatly appreciated help in' the' services from the ' Venerable Archdeacon Williams.
