Confession of Past Neglect. 0 Most Merciful Father, we confess before Thee that we have done so little to forward Thy Kingdom m the world, and to advance Thy glory. We would humble ourselves before Thee for our past neglects, and seek Thy forgiveness. Pardon our shortcomings. Give us greater zeal for Thy glory. Make us more ready and more diligent by our prayers, by our alms, and by our examples, to spread abroad the knowledge of Thy truth, and to enlarge the boundaries of Thy Kingdom. Make the love of Christ to constrain us, and may we do all to Thy glory : through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. For the growth of a Missionary Spirit m the Church. Almighty God, who by the power of the Holy Ghost, didst enable Thine Apostles to teach the nations and to lead them into all truth ; quicken, we beseech Thee, by the same Spirit, the Church of these latter days, that with wisdom and fervent zeal she may preach the Gospel to those who are m darkness and error, that thereby they may be brought to the clear light and knowledge of Thee, and of Thy Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen. For the outpouring of God's Holy Spirit, 0 Great Lord of the Harvest, who hast promised to pour out Thy Spirit upon all flesh, send forth we beseech Thee, labourers into the harvest of the world, that the grain which is even now ripe may not fail or perish through our neglect. Pour forth Thy Sanctifying Spirit upon us and on all our fellow Christians abroad, and Thy Converting Grace on all who know Thee not. Eaise up, we beseech Thee, a devout ministry from among those who turn to Thee, the living God, that all Thy people being knit together m one body m love; Thy holy Church may grow up into the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ; through.
