It is important that all members of the Church m the Diocese should be informed of the proceedings of the Synod, which is really the Church Council for the Diocese. We have therefore given as full an account as possible of its meetings, together with the Address of the Bishop at the opening of Synod, and the Sermon preached by him at the Cathedral on Sunday, September 24th. Parochial notes will be inserted m the next issue of the " Gazette." . . . ,
