(Prayers authorised by the Bishop, for use at Morning and Evening Prayer). For the Diocese of Wellington. 0 Lord, who didst promise to be with Thy Church always, even to the end of the world ; we pray Thee to regard with Thy favour the Church of this Province, and to guide the Synod of the Diocese of Wellington m making choice of a chief Pastor for that portion of that flock. Grant to him who shall be called to this high and holy office that he may discharge the same to the glory of Thy great Name ; who livest and reignest witb the Father and the Holy Ghost now and for ever. Amen. For the Bishop-elect of Auckland. Almighty God, the Giver of every good gift, who hast appointed divers orders m Thy Church, look mercifully upon Thy servant, whom of Thy Divine Providence Thou hast called to the high and holy office of Bishop, and vouchsafe to him, we beseech Thee, those gifts and graces of the Holy Spirit which may enable him faithfully to discharge with humility, courage, and grace, the great trust about to be committed to him, and this we pray for Jesus Christ's sake, Thy Son our Lord. Amen.
