5. Mr. Crosbie Smith gave an account of some seaweeds collected by him in the neighbourhood of Dunedin, exhibiting a large and well-preserved collection. At the close of the meeting Mr. Tennant and Mr. Smith exhibited microscopical preparations of several of the more interesting Algœ in the collection.
