CHART FLOATERS
Eighty percent of the music played on Coca-Cola New Zealand Top 20 seems to be African/Americans singing about humping, love, sex and more sex. I realise the Top 20 is compiled from a national total of units/singles sold per
week, thus indicating to me the kids are spending their hard earned money on this bullshit every goddamn week. Kids, wake up! This is New Zealand, not America. If you insist on buying music from abroad, how about trying some variety, and purchase some original, clever, thought provoking music, New Zealand or overseas — preferably New Zealand. Believe it or not, kiwis can compete with Americans in the music world too. Not always the case though, ie. Matty J Ruys/OMC American wannabes. The sheep flock in droves to lap up another predictable, boring piece of nonsense — how very bizzare? Oh, well, some always say the shit floats to the top.
