Nine Inch Nails play the Power Station April 12, just as their The Downward Spiral album is released. Peter Gabriel plays the Mt Smart Supertop Friday March 4 with Muttonbirds opening. Cruz label hardcore, dudes All play four NZ gigs — Pelican Auckland (with Sticky Filth), Stomach Palmerston North, Stax Wellington (with Bill Direen & Builders), Section 8 New Plymouth (with Sticky Filth). Inner Circle tour April 29 Founders Hamilton, April 30 Logan Campbell Centre and May 1 Palmerston North Opera House.
Ray Charles plays the Mission Wine Estate, Napier, on March 12.
Comedian Steady Eddy plays nearly every town in NZ in March from March 8, following his appearance at Strawberry Fields. See the Live Listing for dates page 28. Yage complete their NZ tour Tuesday February 22 at the Squid, Auckland. The band are made up of members of Oz's Celibate Rifles and Italy's The AlO. They have just released the EP Passion Kashmir.
Guitar ace Michael Angelo visits NZ for two guitar tuition sessions at Big Bang Music Wellington 3pm Saturday Feb 26 and Big Bang Music Auckland 7pm Sunday Feb 27. Angelo has been brought to NZ by Washburn and Bridge System. Tickets are sls.
An Amnesty International "Freedom Concert" with Crowded House, Annie Crummer and Dave Dobbyn takes place Friday Feb 25 at Wellington Town Hall.

Yothu Yindi play Wellington in March 19 at the International Festival of the Arts. They play Auckland Town Hall the night before. Herbs open both nights. The Roger Fox Big Band 20th Anniversary Tour has guests including singer David Clayton-Thomas of Blood Sweat & Tears, GRP artist Arturo Sandoval on trumpet, drummer Steve Houghton (Woody Herman, Freddie Hubbard) and L. HIP HOP ON TOUR There's a mega national tour happening with many of South Auckland's hip-hop acts, "The National Proud Tour — Urban Pacific Street Soul" tour. A double tape/CD Proud, A Street Soul Compilation featuring the artists touring will be released in March on Australian label Volition via EMI. Acts appearing nationally from Feb 22 in Christchurch, include Semi's, Pacifican Descendants, Fuemana, Sisters Underground, Vocal 5, Radio Backstab & DJ Payback and Otara Millionaires Club.
