Local Music Centre Aimed For

A new organisation has been formed to try and improve the lot of Auckland musicians by establishing a combined live venue, recording studio and record and tape shop in the central city. The New Zealand Young Musicians Society is still in the planning stages at present but anyone interested can get in touch with the organisers ph 764-461 or 540-548. As well as alternative music, the society intends to promote theatre and poetry. To raise money it is offering 4-track demo recording sessions at cheap rates during the August school holidays. RB
