Paters?
The Paters, the annual international Australian Broadcasting Awards, takes place in Sydney on November 10 but this time there's relevance to those outside the radio world. A best new original song award has been created to encourage closer relationships between radio and songwriters. It will be judged in five categories; best pop, rock, AOR, country and specialist (jazz, novelty, comedy, ethnic, religious, orchestral) composition. Entries close on September 15 and further information can be obtained from all radio stations or by writing to the commercial programmes administration of Radio New Zealand, PO Box 2092, Wellington, enclosing SAE.
