Grierson and Aimer invited tenders for the erection of a brick and concrete warehouse in Hobson Street for Messrs. Hill and Plummer, oil and colour merchants. . ' CHRISTCHURCH. The City Council invited tenders for the erection of a new Public Library in brick and cement in Colombo Street, St. Albans, and a stable of corrugated iron at Linwood. • Messrs. J. S. and M. J. Guthrie called for tenders during the month for a residence in brick, Lower High Street, and additions to residence. The same architects invited tenders for additions to a picture thatre at Lyttelton; for rebuilding the Adelphi Hotel at Kaikoura, and for a residence, Latimer Square. The District Engineer, Upper Riccarton, invited tenders for a new -Post Office at Upper 'Riccarton. The Canterbury Education Board invited tenders last month for a new brick school of four rooms at Opawa, and for the new Dean Carew Memorial Boys’ School at Greymouth (as reported last month in these columns). FEILDING. A private company, formed in Feilding for the erection of an up-to-date theatre in that town has just signed up a contract with Mr. W. Pearce, of Wellington, for the erection of the building, at a price within the vicinity of £IO,OOO. The seating accommodation of the theatre is for 1000 persons. It is expected that the building will be ready for occupation by October next. HUNTLY. • Messrs. Ed. Bartley and Son and M. K. Draffin, of Auckland, invited tenders for the erection of a Masonic Hall in brick. The Taupiri Coal Mines, Ltd. (through their architect, Mr. Price, of Auckland), have called for tenders for a scheme for housing their workers. Twelve' houses are to be built near Rotowaro, and tenders are invited for erection of same. MASTERTON. Messrs. Watson and Gooder invited tenders for the erection of isolation block of buildings for the Masterton Hospital, and also for a motor garage for the Hospital Board. PAHIATUA. Mr. J. D. Wilson called for tenders last month for the erection of a dwelling. TIMARU. Messrs.
