Our 55th Competition
We offer a prize of £1 Is. Od. for the design adjudged to be the best for a Pavilion Club in accordance with the following conditions ; —The site is level. AspectNorth-East. Materials : —Wooden frame covered with weather-boards, or rough-cast. Brick base. Roof, tiles or slates. Accommodation allowed for 50 members. The following rooms, etc., are required :—A room each for men and women with lockers, showers, and lavatories. Small tool room, scullery, a large open room, and verandah. Drawings to consist of plans, four elevations, and section. All drawings to be 1/8-in. scale, finished in black and white, and all on one sheet of paper. Mr. Gerald E. Jones, Lie., R.1.8.A., of Auckland has kindly set this subject. Designs must be sent in finished as above, under a nom-de-plume, addressed, to Progress, 8 Parish Street, Wellington, and marked clearly “ Fifty-fifth Prize Competition” on outside with a covering letter giving competitor’s name, and address of employer.
