New Zealand Visit. Arrangements in connection with the Institute’s visit to the Hanraki Goldfields are now well in hand, and a preliminary programme has been issued. Programme. January 30—Morning: Civic welcome in Mayor’s Chambers, Auckland; inspection of drawings of the Grafton bridge, and afterwards of the bridge itself; visits to (School of Mines and to Museum. Afternoon: Visit to Three Kings, One Tree Hill, etc., by motorcars. Evening: Annual Institute dinner. January 31Day: Steamer trip to Rangitoto, en route to Thames (guest of Auckland Committee). Evening: Presidential address and social intercourse, at Thames. February —Day: Inspection of Thames Hauraki pump; visit School of Mines; Geology of field; visit to Price’s foundry. February Day: Visit mines at Karangahake and be entertained at luncheon by mining companies. February 3 and IVisit Waihi and Waikino, and be entertained at luncheon by mining companies. February s—Day: Visit to To Aroha. February 6Departure from Thames for homeward journey.
