An Appreciation.
We have received letters of congratulation from all pirts ot the world. None, however, give greater pleasure than a local appreciation like ihe following, received from a wholesale house m Wellington : " The Editor, ' Progress.' " Sir, — I feel that I should not allow the splendid number of Progress for March to pass out of existence without complimenting you upon same. The motor section represents a mass of up-to date and interesting information which I personally have never seen equalled m any Australasian motor journal. It may be of interest to you to know that Progress was the means of bringing to my notice " La Motosacoche " motor attachment for bicycles, which has proved, so far, one of my finest agencies. "La Motosacoche " is considered on the Continent and in Australia as a revolution in motor cycles. From this#point it must be conceded that your journal is thoroughly up-to-date. My advertisement for "La Motosacoche " has appeared nowhere excepting in your columns, and if the enquiries are any indication of the value of that advertisement, then as an advertiser I am satisfied. Wishing you the success you deserve, I am, etc., Herbert H. Smith, L. Ashcroft Edwards, Manager."
" There is but one way of obtaining Business — Publicity. But one way of Gaining Publicity — Advertising. ' ' — Blackwood.
