This property was handed over ;by Thomas Dick, a passenger, for safe keeping during- the voyage, to the Captain, who on arriving at Port Chalmers on the Bth June, informed the owner that his property had been stolen.

Stolen while in transit from Melbourne to Dunedin, per steamer Albion , 5 pairs elastic side boots, toe capped, brass eye-

lets, double soles, with screws near-waist and' in heels ; . also 3 suits dark ■ mixture ribbed doeskin. These goods were taken from-the cases during the voyage.
