Remarks ; first desertion ; hair cut short.

57th Regiment— 26l9, Private James Donnelly age, 28-3; size, sft. 11 in. ; complexion, fair ; hair, brown; eyes, . grey ; date and place of desertion, April 20, 1863, Wanganui, New Zealand; date and place of enlistment, Jan. 5, 1853, Glasgow; parish and county in which born, Antrim; marks, none; trade, laborer; dress, red cloth tunic and summer trousers.

57th Regiment—-423, Private Revian Conway; age, about 28; size, sft. lOin. ; complexion, fresh ; hair, light; eyes, grey; date and place of desertion, May 30, 1863, Wanganui, New Zealand ; date and place of enlistment, not known ; parish and county in which born, not known —is an Irishman ; marks, large mole on one of his fore-arms ; trade, laborer ; dress, regimental tunic, forage cap, and blue trousers, repaired across both knees. Remarks : had on a pair of water-tight boots ; released from civil prison at Wanganui, May 28, .1863; has probably made his way to Wellington.

R 57 th Regiment-476, Private Richard Burns age, 22-5 ; size, sft. 4in. ; complexion, fresh, hair, dark brown; eyes, grey; date and place of desertion, June 3, 1863 Wanganui, New Zealand ; date and place of enlistment, Jan. 3, .1860, Liverpool parish and county m which born, Dublin ; marks, none - trade, laborer; dress, dark.tweed, and black cloth cap.
