PROPERTY REPORTED AS LOST OR FOUND.

Found by the Police at Waipori, a Deposit Receipt of the Bank of New Zealand for £SO.

Strayed, from the neighbourhood of the Polite Camp, Gabriel’s Gully, on Wednesday, the Bth January, a bay Troop Horse, 15 hands high, branded 4 near ribs, S C .off neck, star on forehead, - off hind foot white. £5 Reward will be paid to any person who hands him over at the nearest Police Station.

■ A box of the following : description is reported. by the owner, 'M’dme Hubert, 'as! lost or stolen : -Black leather trunk, studded with brass nails,'about four feet long, two feet wide, and two feet deep ; brass bound, with, clasps’ on lock, , and handles on each end; containing several silk dresses —one being a green plaid, of very large pattern, heavily trimmed with black velvet; a white opera cloak, with white quilted satin bands; a quantity of under linen, books,. and sundries. M’dme Hubert states this box came over, in the s.s. “ Aldinga,”. and was seen on board the p.s. “ Lady Barkly ”at. 2.30,p.m. on the 14th ult. ;

' Found, on 31st May, 1862, on the ranges between Waitahuna and Tuapeka, by Andrew Wright, slaughterman, and handed by him to the TUapeka Police, a deposit receipt for £75, at’ 3 months’ notice, payable in Sydney. Owner apply at Commissioner’s office.

Amended description of Maj-e found in possession of John Kerr, alias Robinson, when arrested for being illegally at large from Victoria: —Small Bay Mare, black points, short switch tail, small star, 4 off, unshod, branded W off shoulder.

' Found in the Rob Roy Hotel, at East Taieri, on 17th May, a second bill of exchange for £5, payable to Mrs. Ann Turner, Melbourne, Apply at the office of the Commissioner.
