Information having been received of the death of His Royal Highness the Prince Consort, the Commissioner directs that members of the Constabulary Force in this Province, wear the regulation mourning on the left arm lor one month, commencing on the 14th inst.

has been awarded from the vote for “R c v wards,” in acknowledgment of his gallantry in capturing John Russell, alias Sprat GallaghanRichard Burgess, alias Dick Hill, and Thomas Kelly, alias . Tommy Hannan, charged with assault and robbery, and shooting with intent at Sergeant Trimble on the 9th inst.

To Detective Johnson the sum of £5 has been awarded, for capturing James Sullivan after a desperate resistance, and for tact in tracing and energy in assisting at the arrest of the offenders captured by Sergeant-Major Bracken. .•

To Sergeant Trimble the sum of £5 ha& been awarded for his exertions in assisting at the arrest and dispersion of the above-named armed offenders, in discharging which duty he was twice fired at.

To Detective (Ist class) Joseph Tuckwell the sum of £2 has been awarded from the vote for “Rewards,” in acknowledgment of his vigilance and exertion in arresting Andrew Oswald and John Bailey, for smuggling gold.
