Marist Brothers’ School, Timaru

(From our own correspondent.) ANNUAL CONCERT. The animal concert of the Marist Brothers’ School was given by pupils, assisted by friends, at St. Patrick’s Hall, Browne Street, Timaru, on the 20th nit. A large audience "as rewarded with a bright and very enjoyable entertainment, the high standard set by the school .in previous years being maintained. Concerted and individual items by the pupils were particularly well given, in every instance careful tuition being apparent. The programme was as follows: solo, ‘•Valse Gracieuse,” Miss Emery; chorus’ “God Defend New Zealand,” the School; recitation, “Good-bye' Little Cabin,” Mr. C. Clarke; solo, “That Tumbledown Shack,” Master s John, Richardson; “Scotch Duo!” Masters Burning; concerted numbers, “Oh Silver, Moon” and sacred selection, the school; recitation, “The Duke’s Soliloquy,” Master Thomas Hertnon; song. Mr. F. Ryan ; piano solo, Miss Emery; quartette, Catholic Glee Club; solo, “That’s What God Made Mothers For,” Master Graham Murdoch; recitation, , “Tommy’s Dream,” Master Peter Hall; solo, Mr. C.
