TIMARU NOTES

(From our own correspondent.) April 8. The seventh half-yearly report of the Timam Convent Association was issued in January. The objects of the association are to bring the members (ex-pupils) into closer touch with one another, to maintain and .foster a spirit of loyalty to their Alma Mater, and to assist in works of charity. The wellprepared pamphlet contains school notes, personal items, and matters of general interest to the members. There are at present over twenty honorary members who belong to various religious Orders stationed in New Zealand, Australia, and Japan. There are also nearly two hundred active members in the T.C.A. Mr. Patrick Kelly, of "Clareville," Jackson Street, Timaru, left Wellington on the

18th March by the Tahiti for Sydney for an extended tour of the Continent, British Islands, and America. Whilst away he proposes visiting Rome and Lourdes with the Australasian Holy Year Pilgrimage! Mr. E. T. Layburn is being transferred from Timaru to take charge of the Public Trust Office in Rangiora.
