Mother Prioress. "We are making a big effort to obtain funds sufficient to enable us to build a suitable convent for our Sisters who have nobly carried on the great work of Catholic education at the North-east Valley for the last twenty-five years. The present dwelling is damp an'd unhealthy—indeed it was not considered fit" for occupation when we took over the property a quarter of a century^ ago—and now the time has come when we must replace it by a substantial conventual building. We depend on our good friends throughout New Zealand to lend a helping hand in the undertaking. In return for your financial assistance you will, as a benefactor, have the spiritual help of the Masses and Holy Communions of the Dominican Nuns of this diocese once every week, and their daily prayers for all benefactors."
