Rev Father Westropp’s Indian Missions “OUR LADY OF VICTORY MISSION,” CHAINPATIA. When anyone wishes to help a Mission there are three questions which every prudent person asks; (1) Is it a poor Mission and in need of help ? The Chainpatia Mission is one of the poorest. There is not even a. real church. lass is said in the priest’s house in a room Id x 20. Our problem is how to fit over 100 persons into this room. The Sisters’ Convent is an old outhouse. The rest of the buildings are of gross. (2) Is it a deserving cause? We are looking after the poor —the widows and orphans. Wo are helping the down-trodden and giving them the best we can. (3) Does it justify our support? The Caste system, is such that in most places conversions are restricted to one or two casts. Here a break has been made in 30 eastsa small break but one that can be easily developed. To further this noble work we solicit your kind help—either money or used postage stamps. In return you will be gratefully remembered daily at the altar by at least one poor missionary. : | . } bj Lekt. Gallien, N.Z. Director, N.E. Valley, Dunedin.
