St. Joseph’s School, Oamaru
y PRIZE DISTRIBUTION. At three o’clock on Tuesday, December 11, the children of St. Joseph’s School held their annual “break-up.” A short programme consisting of songs, musical items, recitations, and club-swinging, was presented by the pupils, who performed their different parts in a very creditable manner. The parents of the children were present in largo numbers and gave evidence of their high appreciation of the various items by their hearty applause. Monsignor Mackay, after distributing the prizes, congratulated the children on their successful year and especially on their good behaviour. In conclusion ho exhorted them to continue, during the holidays, the good work of the year by always showing great reverence for and obedience to their parents.
