NOTHING TO DECIDE.
“Well, gentlemen, as the deceased was of sane mind, I think the only possible verdict is felo-de-se,” said the coroner, addressing the jury at an inquest on a man who had been killed by a railway engine. The jury filed out to discuss the matter, and the foreman said “Well, the coroner knows what he’s talking abaht, and if ’e ses ’e fell in t’ —well, then, ’e fell in t’ ■ sea,” and they filed back to the court. “Gentlemen of the jury, are you agreed?” “Yes, sir,”, replied the foreman, “What is your verdict?” “Found drowned.”
