GARDEN FETE AT MOSGIEL

The beautiful grounds surrounding Holy Cross College, Mosgiel, which just now are appearing at their best, will be the scene of much gaiety on next Saturday afternoon, on the occasion of a garden fete for which very complete arrangements have been made. The fete is being promoted to assist the funds of St. Mary’s Church, and patrons may rest assured of a most pleasurable afternoon. An excellent opportunity will be afforded visitors to view the college 'building, and this alone is well worth a trip to the pretty little town on the Taieri plain. The train arrangements are so timed that the people from the city will have no difficulty in taking the run out and home again—and also spending a few hours at Mosgiel. Trains leave the city at 1.15 , and 2.15 and return at 5.10 and 6.15. Sports and amusements of a varied nature are programmed, and &p----parently nothing will be left undone in providing for the enjoyment of all. ,
