His Lordship the Right Rev. Dr. Whyte, Bishop of Dunedin, will administer the Sacrament of Confirmation at .■st. Joseph’s Cathedral, at three o’clock on Sunday afternoon.

_ A general Communion of the members of the Hibernian Society will take place at the nine o’clock Mass at St. Joseph Cathedral on Sunday; to lie followed by the annual Communion breakfast which will he held in St. Joseph’s Hall.

Many of the clergy from the northern dioceses who wore present at the consecration ceremonies, left by Tuesday morning’s express trains on their return homewards. Ihe visiting prelates, and others of the clergy were passengers by the second express on Wednesday morning.

The usual monthly meeting of the Irish Society was held in the Overseas Chib rooms, on Thursday, November 20. The president announced that no meeting of the society would lie hold during December. The society would meet on Thursday, .lanuary 4, when an excellent programme would hi' submitted. All members were urged to keep lip the keen interest already shown in the welfare and activities of the society. The following members contributed to a much appreciated programme;—Misses Finnerty, Dixon, Brown. Mr. Kennedy, and Christian/ Brothers’ School Choir (vocal items); Miss Gallagher and Master Lynskey (recitations) ; Miss K. Walsh (pianoforte solo).
