(From our own correspondent.) October 4. Father John Fiiinerty, who looks fit and well, spent an enjoyable day during the week with his confreres, Fathers Fogarty and Halvey. The good wishes of the people are extended to Miss H. Fahey in her endeavors to assist the Sisters of Nazareth in their corporal works of mercy. The State Inspector is coming to the schools some day in the near future. The small people are laboring energtically at their lessons, and it is hoped that their efforts will be crowned with pronounced' success. The news of the death of Mrs. Boyer, Cooper’s Creek, Oxford, came as a surprise to her many friends, for death, even most carefully prepared for and long expected, comes suddenly in the end. It was not, however, a shock, because her friends knew that she had been in failing health for some months. She was an earnest, devout, and pious Catholic. The sympathy of her many friends is extended to her husband and family in their bereavement.-R.I.P.
