Palmerston North

An old resident of Palmerston North, Mrs. Johanna Brophy, died on July 27, aged 75 years (writes a correspondent). Born in Co. Kilkenny, Ireland, she married Mr. Peter Brophy, and in 1874 they came out to New Zealand, landing at Invercargill. After a few years they removed to Hawera, finally settling in Palmerston North in 1892. Deceased is survived by three daughters and two sons. —R.l.P.
