(From our own correspondent.)

May 10. The Very Rev. Dean Tubman, S.M., spent a few days in Timaru recently. He is to leave shortly on an extended visit to the Home Land.

The election resulted as follows:President, Miss Knight; vice-president, Miss Venning; secretary, Miss M. O’Sullivan; treasurer, Miss Collin's; councillors, Misses L. Knight, McAteer, and Cosgrove.

It has been' - found necessary to postpone the social evening arranged by the Children of Mary, from May 20 to May 27.

The parish schools have re-opened after another intermission caused by the prevalence of influenza. The children of the Catholic schools ' are participating in the display arranged by way of welcome to the Prince of Wales'during his very brief stay in Timaru.
