BOUSFIELD— : rVO' St...Patrick's^C^urch,: Napier, was, on the morning ofNovember the scene i; of a very pretty and interesting wedding, the '} contracting parties being Miss Catherine Monica (Kitty) Falvey, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. Falvey, of Napier, and Mr. George Woodthorpe Bousfield, only son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. R. Bousfield, Te Karaka, Gisborne. Rev. Father Dowling officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a girlish frock of ivory crepe de Chine, with panelled effects and relieved with picot-edging, the panels being hand-embroidered with tiny crystal beads. The frock was finished with a swathed sash of lemon-colored georgette. She also wore a handsomely-embroidered tulle veil (worked by the Sisters of the Napier Convent), arranged from a coronet of orange blossoms and a circlet of pearls. She carried a beautiful shower-bouquet of white and lemontinted blooms. The bridesmaids were Miss Adeline Falvey (sister of the bride), wearing a frock of pale maize-colored crepe de Chine and leghorn hat, trimmed with electric blue and pink velvet, and carrying a bouquet of pink and white "sweet; peas, and Miss Alice Sweeney, of Hastings, attired in a frock of maize-colored crepe de Chine, and leghorn hat trimmed with heliotrope and pale pink, and carrying a bouquet of heliotrope and pink sweet peas. The duties of > best * man were discharged by Mr. R. F. Aldridge, and those of groomsman by Mr. Jack O'Connell. Subsequent to the ceremony a recejjfcion was -held at the residence of the bride's parents," and the happy couple left later on a visit to Auckland and Rotorua, the bride travelling in a pale fawn-colored costume, and tagel hat in the same shade

' J A very "wedding was solemnised at St. Patrick's Church, Rakahouka, on Wednesday, October : 22, the contracting parties being Miss Mary Agatha O'Brien, eldest daughter of Mrs. O'Brien, Bushy Park, Long Bush, and Mr. Joseph Kerr, fourth -son of Mrs. E. Kerr, Morton Mains. Very Rev. Father O'Neill officiated. The bride, who was given away by her brother, wore ■ a beautiful dress of white crepe de Chine trimmed with georgette, a bridal wreath and veil, and carried an ivory-bound prayer-book. Miss O'Brien (sister of the bride), who was'..'chief j bridesmaid, wore a white silk dress trimmed with pink ribbons. Miss Maggie O'Brien, who acted as flower-girl, was* attired in white silk, and both carried floral bouquets. Mr. Michael Kerr was best man. At the close of the ceremony all adjourned to the residence of the bride's mother,; where'the breakfast was partaken of. Rev. Father O'Neill, who presided, proposed the toast of the bride and bridegroom.. He spoke of the sterling qualities of each":. The: bridegroom responded on behalf of himself and bride, and , thanked the guests for their good wishes and handsome presents. The toast of the O'Brien and Kerr families was" also,honored. The wedding presents were numerous and /.costly, several cheques being also received. *' The newly-wedded couple left by the afternoon train for Christchurch, where the honeymoon was spent, the bride travelling in a brown tailor-made costume and brown hat trimmed with pink crepe de Chine.. .
