Socials during the winter months have again become very, popular, and, as the object is a very deserving one, a large attendance is anticipated. .. ..- . v ..;.'-.• ■; v; In the Rugby football competition the Marist Brothers' boys have again practically won the shield. They have but one match to play, and so far have not been defeated. This year's success is very meritorious, as the wearers of the green are mostly small boys, while some of their opponents were the reverse. In the senior competition the Athletics, Star, and Waikiwi are the leading teams, with equal scores, and the final matches promise to be very interesting.
