Father O'Byrne, who presided, congratulated the club members on the success achieved during the past season. A number of new members were nominated. The club opened the season on last Saturday in the presence of a considerable gathering. The

weather being favorable and the courts in excellent condition, an enjoyable afternoon's playing resulted. Refreshments were served by the ladies' committee to all present. The members of St. Mary's Men's Club, who are arranging for a minstrel entertainment, held their first practice on last Tuesday in the parish hall. The members of St. Mary's Junior .Club are making preparations for a concert to be given in the parish hall towards the end of November. At the last fortnightly euchre tournament arranged by St. Mary's Men's Club the prize-winners were Mrs. A. Lemon and Mr. G. Turner. The members of St. Mary's Men's Club deserve credit for the manner in which they have kept the social element of the parish in the forefront, notwithstanding the fact that many from among them have gone on active service. In this connection a successful and enjoyable social gathering was held a short time ago in the parish hall, tastefully decorated for the occasion by the members of the executive. Excellent music was provided, and a dainty supper was served by ladv friends.
